February Film Screening Was A Success!!!!

Dr. Barbara Seniors Harkins Foundation managed to find a way to bring some joy in children’s lives during these hard times. Our workshops provide a fun way for children and teens to learn something new in a way which is fun and entertaining for them. Our recent events were workshops devoted to the seventh art and that is the film. The participants in this event were able to attend the film screening of “Caroline”which was held on 20th of February, 2021. The participants were members of the Foundation Organization’s Youth aged 11 to 17. There was a huge interest for the workshop. Over 50 kids had the opportunity to attend the special screening of the film Caroline. The workshop was held online through Zoom. Special thanks to the moderator of the event Eric Guzman. A special presentation before the film screening was given from the film’s Voice-Over Casting Directors, Mr. & Mrs. Kalmenson of Kalmenson & Kalmenson, Casting. After the film screening, the participants in this workshop could enjoy the appearance of Mrs. Katy Moore-Kozachik - Set Dresser and Ms. Kristen Millette – Compositor. To a surprise for the audience, there was a special video message from the respected Mr. Tony Candelaria, who was a Model Maker on the film about his role in the film. At the end, each of the kids were able to win a gift card for Starbucks and GameStop. Our workshop was successful and we are delighted that as an organization we managed to put a smile on the kid’s faces and to promote the film as an art.
